gm. Warszawa-Targówek, pow. warszawski, woj. mazowieckie

Initially Targówek was a gentry village. It was mentioned for the first time in the 15th century. In 1580, it had 3.5 łan (ca. 59 ha) in area. Targówek belonged to the families Targowski and Karniewski, and later Gumowski.

In 1764, Stanisław August became its owner. In 1840, another owner J. Nosakowski began to parcel out the village land. This process became even more intensive after the railway line to Petersburg and the Kiberdzia bridge had been built. Part of the village was incorporated into Warsaw in 1889, the remaining part - in 1916. The Dutch settlers (several Mennonite families) inhabited Targowek in the second half of the 19th century; they were attended to by the Elder of the Kazuń Niemiecki church.

The former village is located in the north-eastern section of Warsaw, to the south of the Toruń route between the Jagiellońska and Radzymińska streets. No material remains have survived after the colonists' residence.
